Dan's Album Review:
Fantastic album. Chock full of great ideas, layered with bludgeoning force, iced up with harmonies and sprinkled with occassional left turns and change-ups, it's like a big tasty birthday cake of metal. Happy birthday to you, go buy it now.
Every track is a standout track, I have yet to find a weak one. My personal favorite is "I Never Wanted", where most choruses are sung in tandem death screams and melodic voices, and the lyrics speak to me personally, all about finding yourself and leaving the mistakes of the past behind.
The instrumentation is all stellar, most times crossing in between the new wave of American metal and melodic death with splashes of old school thrash.
